I don't notice when my attention drifts or I am tired.

What I built

A small monitor runs on my own computer. It uses a webcam that tracks my posture and gestures, and it watches for signs of tiredness and drift. When it sees them, it raises an alert that my other tools can act on. The footage never leaves the machine.

Why build it, when apps exist?

• It is convenient. It runs in the background, and I do not have to remember to start a timer.
• It removes friction. The alert goes straight to the tool that helps me get back on track.
• It keeps my footage private, and the code stays small enough to check line by line.
• It fits my way of working, because it connects to the tools I built for myself.
